I am trying to setup an Exchange server behind Astaro. For now, this is on my home server using the free version, but it is in preparation for a production environment.
Since I am testing from home, I am required to use my isp's server as a smart host. I am not sure if I need to specify that in Exchange or Astaro.
I set it up like I thought it should be with both Exchange and Astaro referencing the smarthost, but I was not able to receive mail from outside sources. I could send.
I changed it so that Exchange referenced Astaro as the smart host and Astaro referenced my isp as the smart host and I was still not able to receive.
I added a DNAT rule for smtp and sending and receiving started working, but it does not appear that Astaro is actually filtering any of the messages. I set a key word in the expression filter and sent an email with that word in it. The email went through.
Could someone please tell me the correct way to set this up? It would be very much appreciated. A step by step guide would be even better, especially if it was for Exchange.
