Configure Mail Security with email offline

Hi all,

I use ASG 220, version 8.103. My mail server is MDaemon, version 10.0, this is an offline mail system.

ASG 220 with IP: 192.168.0.6
MDaemon Mail Server, IP: 192.168.0.1, connect to ISP Mail Server with IP 223.12.34.43 to collect email.
ASG use AD (W2k3) users to authenticate, and AD users is different email user.

I have some question, pls help....

(1) Can ASG support MDaemon Email Server with offline email?
(2) I can't release spam email when receive email block (there is no released link), why?
(3) I can login to ASP User Portal, but it maybe don't work, there is no data in SMTP Quarantine, POP3 Quarantine...
(4) If it can support, how can i config Mail Security with my system?

    OK, I just reread the whole thread, and I think I see where I got confused: 

    In Post #3, you said:

    Are you using the ISP's mailserver as an 'Upstream host' that relays to your MDaemon server, or do your users only use the MDaemon server to send email?  Do your users retrieve all of their emails from the ISP Mailserver, or all from the MDaemon server or from both?  Is the email address for each user the same in the ISP Mailserver and in the MDaemon server?  What email client are your users using?

    Are you using the ISP's mailserver as an 'Upstream host' that relays to your MDaemon server, or do your users only use the MDaemon server to send email?  


    When my users send emails to external users (it means those users who have difference domain likes a1@yahoo.com, a2@gmail.com...) , it'll send to MDaemon server (Internal server). And then MDaemon server will connect to ISP's mailserver to send those emails. For internal users, it just send email to MDaemon server and MDaemon will distribute emails to users' inbox immediately.

    My users only retrieve all of their emails from the MDaemon server.

    No, not the same. ISP only provided one account and MDaemon server used this account to connect to ISP Mailserver for sending and receiving emails. My users email was created in MDaemon server.


    What email client are your users using?


    My users use Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook for email client.
