HowTo configure POP3-Proxy on a ASG V8

Hi there,

as yet I couldn't find a practical HowTo that explains how to configure the POP-3 Proxy on a ASG V7 or V8!

Has anyone of you a HowTo on hand?

    Hi,
    it is very easy. There is a nice explanation in the manual that comes with each ASG installation.

    Basically you enable the the pop3 proxy, put the allowed networks where the users are located (internal), tick the use prefetch box. Go to the ant-ivirus page enable that and choose whether you want 1 or 2 anti-virus scanning engines for your pop3 mail.

    If you choose the prefetch setting, make sure you change the stetings on your mail client to be longer than those on the prefect.

    Then there are alot more settings on refining the pop3 behavior.
