cssd consums 100% CPU

There was some threads about this topic, but no solution.

top-command shows that cssd daemon uses nearly 100% of cpu.
Disabling and re-enabling of antivirus feature in Mail-Security solves the problem for a short period of time. But after a while it comes back.
No strange logfiles (system, selfmonitoring ...).

Any suggestions?

    I had the same issue some weeks ago and I could track down the problem to a special mail with an attachment. Just a ZIP-file with some PDFs and TXTs. Nothing uncommon. Everytime the mail server outside tried to deliver the mail CPU usage of cssd went to 100% for some minutes because something internally crashed. Then the mail is rejected with a temporary failure which leads to another delivery retry of the external mail server. And the same thing happens again, and again...

    We contacted Astaro support. They have a workaround they can install via remote access to your box. They told me that it's a bug in the Avira virus scanner that crashes under certain circumstances. We managed to forward the problematic mail to Astaro support and they are still investigating how the problem can finally be solved.

    Astaro told me, we are the second customer in whole Germany who ran into this problem. So this really seems to be a hard thing to find and solve.
