SMTP hostnames with multiple Exchange Servers

I have 2 domains, each with an Exchange Server behind an ASG 220. I have set up SMTP profiles and each domain can send and receive email. However, one of them fails reverse DNS lookup. Both are getting the SMTP hostname from the advanced tab under SMTP. There does not appear to be a place to configure separate SMTP hostnames under the SMTP profiles.
Correct configuration?

  • OK, I'm still unclear about the message you're getting, and the test you're running.

I think you should have one RDNS record for what is the Hostname of the Astaro.  If that's mail.domains.com and you're at 65.75.85.95, then it should be "95.85.75.65.in-addr.arpa -> mail.domains.com".

MX records for domain1.com and domain2.com should both point at mail.domains.com; Astaro SMTP profiles should handle the routing of mail to the correct server.

Doesn't that make things work correctly?
