Hi,
I am using the home version of Astaro 8.100 with two uplinks configured for uplink balancing/multipath:
WAN1: DSL, static IP, used for SMTP to internal mailserver on LAN.
WAN2: Fiber, dynamic IP, used for Internet access (everything but SMTP)
I am using an external domain (mydomain.com) for MX routing to WAN1 IP-address.
This domain name is also used for Astaro's hostname (Astaro.mydomain.com) as well as the internal mailserver (mailserver.mydomain.com).
I also have a dyndns hostname configured in Astaro (myname.dyndns.org) for the dynamic WAN2 IP address.
(Mainly used for administration purposes).
The funny thing is that whenever my internal mailserver receives a mail via Astaro's SMTP proxy - the dyndns name is shown in the mailheader??
E.g: "Received: from myname.dyndns.org (192.168.1.1) by mailserver.mydomain.com (192.168.1.2) with Microsoft SMTP..."
Now, I have checked the advanced tab under "Mail Security" - and it is configured to use astaro.mydomain.com as hostname.
And the internal rDNS for 192.168.1.1 points to astaro.mydomain.com (on Astaro as well as mailserver).
So why on earth does it report the dyndns name instead?
Have I misconfigured something or is it a bug?
Best regards
Martin
EDIT 18/1: Today I tried changing the hostname under "Mail Security", applying and then changing it back and applying again.
Whatever happened, it worked this time - problem solved. [:)]
