Looking forward to a sleepless weekend and anticipating issues :>)
2 areas of concern:
Currently running Exchange 2003 with one domain behind ASG 220, V7.509. I am bringing up a new domain with Exchange 2007. Initially, I have SMTP Profiles set to deliver old domain and new domain email to their respective servers. Then I will immediately move the mailboxes from the old domain to the new. I only need to receive email from the old domain, replies will be from the new domain. Exchange 2007 supposedly makes this easy(!?). On the ASG will I only have to delete the old domain profile and add that domain to the new domain profile, then change the SMTP host name in the advanced settings?
OWA: From what I have been reading about Exchange 2007 deployment scenarios, it is not recommended to separate the OWA Client Access Role from the Exchange Server in a front end / back end . MS is of course pushing an ISA server solution in the DMZ. Not in my budget. Anyone running Exchange 2007 behind ASG with OWA on the server? Any suggestions, ideas, opinions?
