mailqueue - smtp mailmanager documentation

Hi,
I'm looking for more documentation about the mail part of the ASG. Couldn't find any interesting on the Astaro page.
Any tipps?

e.g. 
How long are mails stored in the mail queue? 
How often is there a resend. 
What happens when mails can't be delivered within a couple of days?

    How long are mails stored in the mail queue? delivered immediately if possible - retries continue for 48 hours
    What happens when mails can't be delivered within a couple of days? returned to sender as undeliverable

    Thanks for the info. I checked the KB and could not find any related infos.  Well perhaps, I was looking for some 'official' statements. However thanks a lot.
