Filter formats in SMTP exception

Hi,

I want to create filter exceptions for top domains like *.edu.tr ,*.gov.tr. As I understand astaro can't use RegEx in SMTP filters; I tried *\.edu\.tr but when I tried to save it complained for invalid elements. Trying "*.edu.tr" gave the same error. The only working filter seems "*@example.edu.tr" but this is not what I want.

So how can I write a filter rule like "*.edu.tr" ? Or is this even possible?

Thanks.

  • I would have thought that *@*.edu.tr definitely would work, and that *.edu.tr probably would work.  Are you saying that neither one does?

    Hi Bob,

Nope *.edu.tr did not work; see the attached screenshot. But it accepted *@*.edu.tr so it seems it looks for a "@" in the filter.

    Thanks [:)]
