SMTP Spool Messages

Hello,

I'm at a loss and looking for some help.  I've looked at the forums and I can't seem to find any suggestions as to what is going on.  This all started this week when I couldn't email a customer of mine through our normal SMTP server, outlook always timed out.  Last night I looked inside the Astaro and noticed that 2 messages are in the SMTP spool from this customer.  I've included a log entry.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I've done a search and our domain isn't blacklisted.  

Message Delivery Log:
2010-08-10 12:16:25 SMTP timeout while connected to 192.168.1.1 [192.168.1.1] after MAIL FROM: SIZE=4583: Connection timed out
2010-08-10 12:16:25 ***@***.com R=static_route_hostlist T=static_smtp defer (110): Connection timed out: SMTP timeout while connected to 192.168.1.1 [192.168.1.1] after MAIL FROM: SIZE=4583

    Hey, Matt - is .1.1 your mailserver? What software?  Where is Outlook - inside or outside the Astaro?  Are those outbound mails from you in the spool or inbound from your customer?

    Sorry for the limited information.

    Yes .1.1 is my mail server.  It is located inside my network.  The ASG is our gateway.  The Mail Server is an older device, a Sun Cobalt Qube.  It is a linux based email server.  It's running MailScanner and SpamAssasin.  Outlook is located inside the network.

    The message log file is refering to an email coming from a customer.  Additionally when I try to email him, outlook won't send it it just times out.
