Upstream Host List Confusion

After reading the following topic: https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/56/t/48548
which didn't see a proper closing I'm still confused when the Upstream Host List has to be used.
My MX setup is like this:
MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = myhost.xs4all.nl (= astaro box)
MX preference = 20, mail exchanger = relay.transip.nl (= fallback mx at domain hoster)

The domain hoster doesn't use greylisting. (what often happens is that the sending host is greylisted, after which the mail is immediately sent to my fallback mx which in turn delivers it to my box)

Questions:
- Should I enter the relay.transip.nl host in my (Astaro V8) Upstream Host List,yes or no?
- And if so, should I exclude the relay.transip.nl host from any other checks in order for the antispam measures to work properly..?

  • I haven't upgraded anyone to V8 yet.  Probably middle of next month.  I hope that funny thing with greylisting gets solved.  I surely don't need/want it anywhere.

  • I think greylisting is still a very effective measure against spam. A spamfilter can be 99.9% percent right but the SPAM is then being stored on your Astaro box. I'd rather not have any spam touch my precious storage.. [:)]
