SSL SMTP Relay

I am trying to my clint to use the SSL port 465 for outgoing mail relay on the astaro but am getting a Cert error. I can not seem to find what cert is applyed to that service so I can install it on my notebook to correct the error. Does anyone know what default cert is applyed to the SMTP service? or how I can find out?

    Well I need my Netbook and Mobile phone to be able to send e-mail from Internet connections so I have authentication for mail relay turned on but am concerned about sending user PW to authenticate through the Internet. I believe that the SMTP authentication is sent in clear text so SSL would encrypt that info and other info in the Body of the E-mail.
