Greylisting causing relay denied bounce at senders server

we have a number of customers using astaro for antispam and we have just come accross a problem - the senders emails reaches the astaro gateway which in turns sends the 'temporary local problem' message back.

Instead of the senders server trying to send the message again it generates an ndr

'The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to.  Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.

Any ideas?

  • Hi, Gazsa, and welcome to the User BB!

It looks like the sender's mail server isn't working correctly. The easiest thing to do is to add an Exception to your customer's Astaro so that emails from the sender in question are not greylisted.
