I would like to know if any of you guys use the encryption feature on the ASG and communicate with Outlook clients outside your perimeter.
Does it work correctly for you?
I have set up everything in my environment correctly. I even talked to the astaro support. I send out emails from inside the company, they get encrypted by the asg and some small office user or home user decrypts it just fine at their Client (without email gateway).
Now if they reply encrypted using "thunderbird" as their email client everything works as a charm. ASG decrypts the message and forwards it to my exchange server so it can be read by the internal user just fine.
Now here's the deal: If that outside guy uses Outlook (no matter what version 2003 - 2007 - 2010) it encrypts the message but the ASG does not decrypt it and then passes it on to the exchange so the internal user cannot read it because it is still encrypted and all the certificate administration is only done in the ASG.
It uses the exact same certificates, I have talked with astaro support about this and showed them everything and they don't have a clue... so I'm just asking if anyone has a working setup like this. Or maybe anyone else with that problem?
Cheers,
Chris
