POP Prefetch Issue

We have users who get their emails on their laptops from outside the company, but when they come into the office, they get all the old emails they've already received because the prefetch isn't smart enough to go back to the email server and see that those emails have already been deleted.  Is there any solution to keep people who leave the building?  Is there a way to tell Astaro not to prefetch certain accounts?

    No, when they are out of the office they connect directly to the POP server and when they are in the office they connect to the POP server by going through the firewall.  Since they have connected once through the firewall before, now the firewall is pre-fetching their email.  If they were out of the office for a month and they have received 1000 emails, when they connect up at the office again they get those 1000 emails again from the firewall, which had pre-fetched them for the last month.
