Hi,

I configure the Astaro mail encryption with a s/mime certificat.

1. I create 2 internal users. The first is

bob@example.com

The second is:

john@example.com

When I send a mail with the bob account to alice@souris.com, the signature is valid and when see the details of the signature, I can read (the client is thunderbird 3.1)

Digital signature is Valid

signed by: bob
email address: bob@example.com
certificate issued by: mailcrypt.example.com

That's perfect.

But.. When I send a mail from john@example. com to alice@souris.com, the signature is not valid. The details:

Digital signature is Not Valid

signed by: bob
email address: bob@example.com
certificate issued by: mailcrypt.example.com

What's wrong ?

Thank you

  • Do you have both certs (Bob & John) loaded in Thunderbird?  If you have, then can you show us a pic of the 'Internal Users' tab with both Bob's and John's accounts available?

    Cheers - Bob
