The spam filter daemon is unable to reach the database servers via HTTP

I'm getting the following message every hour - couldn't find a way to reslove.

The spam filter daemon is unable to reach the database servers via HTTP. Please make sure that the device is able to send HTTP (TCP port 80) requests to the Internet. You may have to allow such traffic on upstream devices.

Using Just a single device - no HA - Astaro Security Gateway Software 7.504
TIA for any advice.

  • Does that correlate with the 'Pattern download/installation interval' on the 'Configuration' tab of 'Management >> Up2Date'?  What relevant line(s) do you see in the 'Content Filter (HTTP)' 'Packet Filter' and 'Intrusion Prevention' logs?

  • Pattern download/installation interval is 15 minutes.
I get this notification every 30-90 minutes.
Will update on the log results.
    THANKS!
  • SO,
Either there is nothing in the logs, or I can't read them right.
Nothing I could find the that correlate with the download interval.

Changed update interval to 1 hour - now I get the notification every hour which correlates with the update interval.
However, FW and pattern version status shows as up-to-date.
    TIA.
