Simple SMTP server behind Astaro

I'm running Astaro V7.502 and have installed SMTP on my Windows server 2008.

I simply want the server to be able to send me an email when something occurs. Power outage causing restart for example.

Is there anything I need to do on the Astaro to allow this traffic out? It's been over 3 years since I've even LOOKED at SMTP set up so I may be doing this wrong, but when I telnet in and get to the point of typing "rcpt to: name@gmail.com" I get "unable to relay for name@gmail.com".

Do I need packet filters set or DNAT? I'm trying those now.

Can someone help me out?

    Never mind people....

    Of course I forgot to add my PC's IP address to the relay list. No wonder I couldn't get it to relay my message! *palmhands*

    Just for other's curiosity, no packet filter or DNAT required. Just make sure your SMTP settings are correct.
