No E-Mails via SMTP

Hi,

try start --> run --> cmd and then "telnet mailserver 25" without " and replaye mailserver with your mailserver name.

What is the cmd telling?

It can't not connect of port25 to the smtp server :-(

On a pc without the astaro, the smtp server give an answer.

Are you allowing the correct ports on the rule? If you have a look at the packet filter log you will identify the block [;)]

check the logging on the relevant rule and then have a look at the packet filter log (syslog provided all logs) and see whether it's blocked.if you are unsure copy paste the relevant log

Lars, I'm a little confused by your log.  It has a ton of port-137 broadcasts from 192.168.x.200 - what is that IP - the Internal (Address) of your Astaro?  And, it looks like you need to create a packet filter rule to allow your VPN users to access DNS on the Astaro.

Also, it seems strange that the port-25 traffic would be trying to go out a "ppp0" interface.  I usually only see that for VPNs; is the SMTP traffic supposed to go over a VPN?  If you aren't using the SMTP Proxy, do you have a packet filter rule like 'Mail Server -> SMTP -> Any : Allow'?
