Ok here is my setup. I am an Astaro home user. I have my firewall mainly just for internet traffic. All of my domain email is handled by google via google apps. I got to thinking this morning that I could have all of my email routed through the astaro at home and then sent back to google so it can go to the proper email box. I know this sounds like a huge unnecessary step but I'm trying to cut down on the amount of spam that I get in my google box. Yes google does just dump it all to the spam folder like it should. So this setup sounds simple enough just put the google mail servers in a static list and let it roll.
Here is the problem I am a comcast customer and comcast blocks all outbound port 25 traffic unless you send it straight to their server. Does anyone know a way around this? Or is this even an idea worth trying to implement. Thanks.
