spam Filter cannot query database servers?

2009:12:05-07:48:01 flame selfmonng[3297]: Spam Filter cannot query database servers

I'm not sure where else to look to verify but this tells me that I have issues getting Spam definition updates.. Is there another place to look to verify like by date or revision number?

And more importantly.. how can I resolve this issue?

Sounds like a problem contacting CommTouch...

How often is it happening? Is it still happening now?

Hi,
usually indicates a line drop or extremely slow network response. If the messages are happening regularly have a look at your network connection log to see if you are getting line drops. Also check to see if your ISP has network congestion or chocking in place to some sites.
I can't provide you with the specific sites that Astaro uses to check because I don't know them.

well.. that is the only reference i can find in the self monitoring log file. I even checked the archived from november but no "Spam" in them. Is there any other specific log file I could search in?
This might be an isolated incident..

I got the same problem with several customers.
Did you find some "ctasd" error messages in smtp.log?
