What methods for antispam does astaro use? --newby--

I am looking at using Astaro to replace my Watchguard boxes I currently have in place but am curious to what methods for antispam Astaro uses in the security gateway software.

Currently I am using the commtouch based antispam (smtp proxy) on my watchguards and spamassasin w/ the usual tools on the mail boxes themselves. I am seeing how Astaro compares since so far this has worked out really well for us.

Thoughts?

Hi, Astaro now uses Commtouch (replacing previously-used SpamAssassin).

Also, Astaro allows you to do RBL filtering on the firewall, anti-virus, etc.

You can purchase a mail security license for the Astaro Security Gateway firewall, or you can purchase a standalone Astaro Mail Gateway license. (or an appliance for either)

To add to Barry's post:

1) Commtouch
2) RBLs (Default and Custom)
3) Greylisting
4) Recepient Verification (can be tied into AD)
5) BATV
6) HELO / RDNS Checks
7) SPF Record Check
8) Sender Blacklist
9) Expression Filter

My customers' units do a very good job with only the Commtouch, RBL, Receipient Verification, HELO / RDNS Checks, and SPF Record check enabled.
