Attach additional address for outgoing mail

Hi All!

Is it possible to configure a additional address for all outgoing mail traffic on the astaro?

We have a Exchange 2007 server behind the astaro. Our MX record go's to a additional address configured on the astaro. Mail Security catches all mail, scans and sends it to our Exchange 2007 server.

On the exchange server we have configured the astaro as a smarthost so all outgoing mail is scanned. But it leaves the astro on a different IP address, the root IP and not the additional IP address where the MX reccord is pointing at. 

This resolves in failures when mailserver checks the reverse DNS.

Can i configure the astaro in such way that it will send all mail trough the additional IP address?

    Hi,
    to my experience, it is possible to add a couple of secondary interfaces to WAN or LAN. However, it is not possible to bind them to a specific service. Outgoing traffic will use always the primary outside interface.

    should work with a SNAT:

    Source: 'real' external address 
     Destination: any
     Service: smtp
     Change source to: 'additional' external address for mail

    We really should be able to control what IPs the SMTP and HTTP Proxy bind to / use... using SNAT to work around it really is an ugly, kludgy way to do it... hopefully they will add the ability to do this at some point.  Check out feature.astaro.com and vote for it (I'm guessing it's already up there, if not, I may create one).
