Odd spam score results or quarantine behavior

Hi, all. I'm seeing the following on 7.405, on an occasional basis:

X-Spam-Score: -3.9 (---)
X-Spam-Report:     -10 ASTARO_FE001           ASTARO Fedex
     0.7 MIME_HTML_MOSTLY       BODY: Multipart message mostly text/html MIME
     1.0 HTML_FONT_BIG          BODY: HTML tag for a big font size
     1.4 HTML_TINY_FONT         RAW: body contains 1 or 0-point font
     3.0 URIBL_SC_SWINOG        URI listed in uribl.swinog.ch.
                                [URIs: fedex.com]
The user in question has evidently whitelisted these mailings from FedEx, which is what turned a score of 6.1 to a -3.9. However, this message still was quarantined.

In another case:


X-Spam-Score: 0.3 (/)
X-Spam-Report:     0.1 HTML_TAG_EXIST_TBODY   BODY: HTML has "tbody" tag
     0.1 MPART_ALT_DIFF         BODY: HTML and text parts are different
This one, with a 0.3 (and how we get to 0.3 when adding 0.1 and 0.1 I do not know  [:)] ) was somehow quarantined as spam, as well.

Any thoughts?

    Spamassassin is not used in the newer builds of astaro. They have moved to a more efficient (mostly) 3rd party IP reputation system. You might want to move to one of the more recent versions with a lot better spam protection.

    Spamassassin algorithms are pretty difficult even by default without users whitelisting things just my 2 cents.

    Ugh... You're absolutely right. This was handed off from my Novell Security Manager, running 6.314 and serving as my backup MX. I know that Astaro switched from SA with version 7.3 or so, which is why I was so puzzled by the spam report.

    Yep, both of these were handed off from the NSM to the ASG. I should have checked that first...
