Does the emailing of events only work if you have an internal SMTP server?

I put in a valid POP3 email, but they just bounce.  For all of these emails, do I have to have my own SMTP server? Or can I just point it to my ISP email that uses SMTP (I think) to move mail around? Or is there some other setting I need to apply?

Thanks,

C68

  • Coder68, go into Webadmin, Management, Notifications.  In the Global tab, configure a real sender email address that can be relayed by your ISP's SMTP Server (since you do not have your own).  In the Advanced Tab, configure it to use your ISP's SMTP server to send notifications.
