Getting to mail manager is very very slow

Hi I'm using an Astaro Mail Gateway 1000 it only has to check 140,000 emails a day, which it does well. However when I try and go to web admin and have a search the Mail Manager Logs it times out. 
Times out after I go to Mail Security click on Mail Manager. All the other buttons work fine but not Mail Manager. Any clues ??

    Ok when I didn't get answer in forum, contacted Astaro support.
    Turns out that you need to run version 7.4+ firmware for better speed, which we were doing   but with at least 1GB of RAM.
    Our machines are only 4 months old and they came with only 512MB.

    Haven't tried the extra memory yet though, as our gear resides in a data centre 1000Km away.

    Is 2GB the max with that kernel does anybody know ?

    It will go higher.  3.2GB I think.
    I have 2 x 2GB sticks and Astaro webmin reports 3.2GB RAM

    512MB isn't really enough.
