Is any Packet Filtering required on an MX-only Astaro?

Reading around in these forums, I learned that the proxies take precedence over the packet filter rules. Simple enough.

If my Astaro is acting as an MX only, and has the host-based relay (Mail>SMTP>Relaying) populated with my internal mail servers, do I need anything in the "Network Security > Packet Filter" rule list for "Internal Network-to-Any"?

I'm thinking the Packet Filter should be empty of rules in this case?

Straight answer: No, you don't need any Packet Filter Rules.

The Rules that are necessary are automatically put in place by enabling Mail Security and are evaluated before the Rules at "Network Security > Packet Filter" (without actually showing up in "Network Security > Packet Filter").
