import mail address from ldap in 7.402

Hi all,

I've seen a lot of discussion here about importing user details from ldap (specifically the email address) so users would finally be able to use the "end user portal" interface. I have read in various posts that it should be supported from 7.4 on.

Now we're running 7.402 here, and astaro STILL does not import email addresses from ldap.

Does it work for everybody else, or are you all still seeing this issue?

Strange isn't it, a lot of open source networks use astaro, and *THE* open source backend is not properly supported...

    That's what I remember from a comment made here by one of the Astaro folks.  I just tried to confirm that, but could not find it.  In any case, it's worth reminding Astaro that it's a problem.

    Jan, I see you were still using open LDAP instead of moving to Active Directory on your SME server.  I wonder if this is fixed in the new beta.  I'll ask a question in the beta forum.

    Hi, I've tested the beta, and finally the openldap works! (it even imports double email addresses from ldap)
