Web Mail Security?

Just a simple question on web mail such as gmail, hotmail etc....

I am using Astaro 7.401, with POP3 enable and properly configured will any e-mail that is web base be throughly scanned and checked for viruses, malware etc?

    If you have Web Security enabled, yes; the HTTP/S proxy would filter Webmail.  Email Security only enables scanning of POP3 / SMTP email.
