Hi friends !

one of the pre-sales question from client, how do i configure a AMG where all mail should come to inbox then mail admin will decide whether mail should to forward to his/her mail account or should be block ,but some mail account should be allow directly (mails of ceo,all manager,directors)

    that is a mail server function not a firewall function.

    Is this POP3?  Do they have an internal mail server?  How many employees do they have?

    They would need a full-time person to look at each email to make a judgement.  I guess they don't realize the work involved.

    It's difficult to offer more advice without more information about their situation.  It's not too early to get a network diagram and details about their servers, OS and applications.

    So do you really want to manually decide which mail should be forwarded to the client?

    Do you have a seperate Mailserver to forward "Allowed Mails" to?

    Yes ,they have seperate  Mailserver but dont know whether they want to allow all mail or they want to delete junk mail or unwanted mail which should go to thier mail server 

    (sorry dont know much just initail talk with client )


    But can you give me idea whether its possible or no ,if possible how and if not possible why ?

    There are too many unknowns.  It would take too long to answer the question easily.

    The Astaro doesn't do this; I really don't know why anyone would want this setup this way, too much administrative overhead.  The Mail Filtering as it is implemented in the Astaro now is quite effective and efficient.
