Out Bound Mail Being Rejected By Multiple Servers

Hi All,

I am new to the astro world and would like a little help ironing out a few kinks. I think I have setup everything correctly. I have DNS forwarders and  and a host name.  I appear to be getting a lot of time outs from multiple mail servers that was not apparent without the Astaro box inserted.

Is there some specific area's I should be looking at to resolve these issus.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Do you have rules allowing SMTP out through the firewall, or have the SMTP proxy configured correctly?

    (Astaro blocks all traffic which has not been explicity allowed.)

    Like Barry said.  Also, please give Astaro version and tell us if you have the Mail Security subscription.  Are all the emails failing, or just some from a specific server or some to specific domains or is it totally random?

    Hi All,

    Thanks for your input. It was not all mails failing. I think I figurerd out what I did wrong. I had not setup any DNS forwarders. I setup some and I upgraded the software from 7.3 to 7.4.  I have been running the email server for a couple of days now and no messages are timing out so I think everything is OK now. Thanks again.
