Quarantine Reports without LAN SMTP server

Just when I thought I was getting smarter, I get stumpted by something that I assumed should be rather simple...

I did a search on the forum for a solution but either I did not read enough of them, or there is not a thread yet.

How do I receive quarantine reports when I don't, as of yet, but am working on it, have a SMTP server on my LAN? More specificly how does the rest of the network?

The goal is to have them all release or delete their own spam but not other quarantined email types.

Again I thought this would be as simple as turning on the quarantine report feature, but it appears that there is more to it.

I do receive all of the "Notifications" via email but have not received any quarantine reports.

Any help with the goal mentioned would be appreciated.

If you don't have an in-house mail system, and are using POP3... you will need to enable the POP3 Proxy, and enable Prefetching as well. Each user will need to be configured via the end user portal for the email addresses associated with their POP3 account(s).

All pop3 mail comes in fine. All accounts are configured.

Prefetch works fine baring the occasional duplicate.

Antivirus works fine.

Spam filter works fine.

Extensions filter works fine.

Expression filter works fine.

Everyone on the network gets their email.

I receive all "Notifications" that I have chosen to receive, "via pop3 email"; (since I did not communicate that clearly) indicating that I have defined and activated the "Smart Host" feature.

No exceptions defined.

No patterns defined.

Quarantined email can be viewed, downloaded, released, released and reported as a false positive, and deleted.

...But no quarantine reports.

I am currently moving the "Time to send report" forward in time by the available 15 minute increments on both of the available "Time to send report" drop down lists.

...but so far, no quarantine reports.

Ideas?

There is no "Smart Host" on pop3. In order to enable quarantine reports for pop3, you have to enter your pop3-server in the Pop3-Advanced-Tab. I assume you get a single notification for each spam mail?

Thanks for the help.

The send report at certain times (dropdown menu) will not work. I believe that the quarantine report is sent when everyone checks their respective pop3 mail.

Reports are being received now.
