Inbound Mail Not Beling Delivered

Our Groupwise Email Server was down for about 12 hours last night.

Now no mail is being delivered from the outside.

I see this scrolling in the SMTP engine log:

R=static_route_hostlist T=static_smtp defer (-53): retry time not reached for any host

Please help!

  • Are any of your partitions full? I ran into this problem on Version 5 when /var/sec was full. 

    The culprit file was /var/sec/chroot-bind/named.memstats

  • What version are you running?  I had an older version of 7 behave this way when the mail server was down for an extended period of time (the customer had an extended power outage, no generator).. it does eventually start working again...  There was a command line (shell) command that made it start working again, but as to what it was, it's slipping my mind now.  At the time, Astaro said they would be changing the anti-spam system and that would correct it... I did a move for a customer over a 12 hour or so period not too long ago on Version 7.3xx and we had no issues... maybe up2date to the latest version if you're not there already... or you could start a support case with Astaro and I'm sure they could get it going again for you.
