SMTP Outbound but no inbound

I work for a company this is using Exchange 2003. We wanted to install Astaro Mail Gateway. So I finally got the outbound smtp to filter but I cant seem to get the inbound to filter. Is this some kind of DNS problem. I am not sure how to set this up right.  Can someone point me in the right direction.  Thanks

    If you think you have it configured correctly- first reboot the Exchange box, then try again (Exchange has some odd DNS and ARP issues which don't flush easily)

    If it isn't that easy, the next step will be basic SMTP diagnostics, try a manual SMTP session from a command line client and see if you can connect.  If you can connect, see if the banner you receive is from the Astaro or the Exchange server.

    Let us know what you find.

    Well, we need a lot more information... how is your Astaro setup to allow inbound email?
