BATV Problem

Hello,

after sending an email to an customer and that customer answers within 1 minute on that mail, we get the following message:

yyy and *** for masking real info

The answer mail isn't delivered at all.

    Some mail servers don't like BATV.  If your e-mail is working fine for other recipients, add that particular recipient to an exception list.

    We have same problem here in switzerland with recipients hosted by Hostpoint, which uses sender verification but seems not to handle BATV envelope adresses correct, so their sender verification will be rejected at Astaro, and they refuse to accept the mail.

    Workaround ist to add a exception for their Hostpoint MX Server(s) which performs the sender verification. So you have for the swiss Hostpoint example to create an exception for BATV for following Source host „mx1.mail.hostpoint.ch“. Please note, that this DNS Entry lists more than 1 IP Adress (redundancy ?) So that you have to use a "DNS Group" object instead of "DNS Host" object as Source Host in the exception, this way Astaro will collect all IP Adresses for this DNS Name.

    Works fine for Switzerland / Hostpoint

    *ARRR* Hostpoint should change their Antispam system for supporting BATV activated mailsystems if they perform sender verification. It seems, that they changed their sender verification requesting servers from „mx1.mail.hostpoint.ch“ to a whole group of mailservers which will perform the sender verification. As far is I found the Servers seems to be the whole range from "mxin001.mail.hostpoint.ch" to "mxin006.mail.hostpoint.ch".

    SO simply create a network group containing these 6 ingoing mx servers from hostpoint, and exclude them from BATV checking - then their sender verification feature will work, and they accept the mails

    I have had the sam problem. First I restarted the ASTARO GW nothing changed. Then I removed the BATV chekmark on the SPAM configuration page (I disabled BATV) then I restarted the GW and enabled the BATV. Now all is working fine. I think there was something wrong with the BATV service. After restart all works fine.
