POP3 proxy & Prefetch not working.

It seems sometime over the weekend or earlier today I stopped getting emails.

I tested it by sending myself an email, and after a couple hours I figured something was amiss. So I checked the POP3 live log and saw all the mail clients logging on and off but no Prefetch messages. I lso opene the live Spam Scanner log and there wasnt anything happening there.

There havent been any updates as far as I know. I have been running ASG Firmware version:  7.302 ever since it came out.

So as a quick fix I disabled the Prefetch, and got all my emails for the day.

Anyone know what might be going on. Oh yes I have rebooted the system, shutdown and rebooted the system. But still have the problem.

    prefetch has been unreliable since it first came out ages ago.  Disable it and pretend it doesn't exist..[:)]  That's what i have done in every astaro installation i have done.

    Hi,
    in my case prefetch works fine. My systems has 2 users who have different e-mail on 2 different IPs. I have 4 e-mail accounts and my wife has 2 e-mail accounts. If you have turned off prefetch let the system settle for a day before turning prefetch on again. A lot has to do with your ISP.

    Check your timeout settings on your e-mail client.

    The prefetch function has been re-written since it was initially released in V7.000 and is much  more resilient and reliable.

    I have 3 different mail servers(comcast, verizon, gmail, and my own domains) and prefetch has never worked.  The "solution" provided it to raise the prefetch timeout to 10-15 minutes which isn't relaly a solution since i get my mail every 5 or less minutes.  It works perfectly w/o prefetch..only prefetch messes up..[[:)]]  

    Prefetch is the only pop3 issue..the other pop3 functions work fine..[[:)]]

    Prefetch has worked fine in all the environments I manage since Version 7.300.

    glad it has for you and everyone else..just doesn't work for me unless i set prefetch to something like 15 minutes..which in my book is ridiculous.
