Exceptions not apply to certain antivirus settings

Exceptions do not seem to apply to "Quarantine unscannable content" in the antivirus tab.

The problem is that I have a whitelisted sender in the exceptions tab who will always send us password encrypted zip files, I want them to be able to be allowed through, but not other unknown senders.

Are there any workarounds?

    No ideas from anyone?, is there a way I could give the astaro the decryption password/keys so it can check them? 

    Is the answer somewhere in the encryption tab (which I don't currently use or understand), or if I go down that route does everything we send have to involve encryption.

    In your Exception for this customer, have you checked the Anti-Virus checking check-box?  If so, then this sounds like a bug.

    We don't use this feature at any client site, so I'm unfamiliar with its idiosyncrasies.

    Thanks for your help, Oh dear school boy error, it is so long ago I set the whitelist, I had missed the edit button for the list of what gets excepted! [8-)]

    However, I dont want to disable all antivirus scanning, I just want to override the password protected zip (unscannable) antivirus setting.

    Time for a feature request then..

    In the meantime I will create a new exception list containing that one known sender excluding antivirus.

    When downloading encrypted ZIP files through the Web Proxy (w/ AV), I get a DENY with "unscannable content".
    Is it possible to globally allow encrypted files (same as disabling "Quarantine unscannable content" for Mail Security?
