POP3 not working - connection to db_host.local *refused*

I was using Astaro 7.2 without any problems until today. I was able to get email this morning, but when I came home from work I found that I could no longer access any POP3 account through the transparent proxy. GMail's encrypted connection works fine. 

When I looked in the POP3 proxy log, I saw something strange. The log starts with today's date, but then there's a line of garbage, it switches to yesterday's date (still passing a good number of emails), and then it starts saying that the connection to db_host.local is refused.

So I'm guessing that db_host.local has been corrupted. Anyone have any ideas of how to fix this without having to reinstall Astaro?

Upon finding this after getting home I noticed the update to 7.3 and let it install in hopes that it would fix it, but it did not. I can access email by bypassing the proxy, just not through the proxy.

    Have you tried a restart? If it doesn't work then, you can send me a login to your shell per PM or per mail to cgarst at astaro dot com.

    I have the same problem. I tried to restart and a reset but without any results.

    The ASG of a customer has the same problem since an power failure today. Additional, the SSH Daemon and the PostResSQL seems to be corrupt. Has anyone an idea to repair this, without a new installation?

    There is a growing body of evidence that 7.302 has a restart problem with power failures rather than a clean shutdown using the webadmin restart/stop function.
    In same cases it has required a re-installation to get the box going again.
    My home box is currently sitting on v7.301 after a re-build to see if it stable. I will re-install v7.302 in a couple of days.

    Another reported issue with SSH Daemon and the PostgresSQL I see.

    Definitely something up Astaro...

    I have reported this issue to support (cold shutdown=corrupted box), however they were initially unable to replicate the issue.
    (Sent backup files etc).

    They were escalating it to another area of support to see if they could replicate the issue but I have not yet heard back from them.

    The problem seems to vary from corruption of PostgreSQL/SSH Daemon/ulog to a complete factory reset equivalent. 
    (Happened on two boxes of mine with different hardware).

    I am having this issue also.
    I my case it happened almost as soon as the version 7.02 was installed.
    I disabled scanning for now and enabled "normal" POP3.

    May be I can open a ticket tomorrow.

    My ASG is offline - and has been so since this problem surfaced.

    Any news or fixes from Astaro ?
