Hello!
Following is my setup:
Primary domain used is company.de
Astaro's name is blabla.company.de
SMTP-Proxy configuration:
Global SMTP settings:
email domains: subdomain1.company.de and company.de
internal server: mailserver1.company.de
Default per-domain profile (as expected):
routed domains: subdomain1.company.de and company.de
target hosts: mailserver1.company.de
Added second per-domain profile:
routed domains: subdomain2.company.de and company.eu user@subdomain2.company.de works (will be routed to mailserver2)
- sending a mail from the internal network (directly delivered to the astaro) to user@company.eu works also (also to mailserver2)
- sending a mail from the internet to user@subdomain2.company.de also works (as expected it it routed to ms2)
- sending a mail from the internet to user@company.eu doesn't work:
SMTP error from remote server after RCPT command:
host blabla.company.de[x.x.x.x]:
550 Address unknown
I also tried directly with "telnet blabla.company.de 25" from an external adress the usual way (helo.. mail from.. rcpt to..). Astaro said 550 Address unknown.
And now the best: I add my external address to the host based relay list under "Relaying", tried again with telnet and that worked. Now my question is WHY??? Doesn't make sense. If I add any domain to the astaro I expect the astaro will also accept mail for this domain. I think this has to be a bug. Confirm?
