A few days ago my house lost power for ~2 hours and my UPS ran out of steam. As a result, my Astaro firewall (v7.104) shut down unexpectedly. It came back up cleanly (as far as I could tell), but after about a day I noticed lots of SPAM coming through one of my POP email accounts (no such problem with my IMAP accounts). I tried a clean shutdown and restart, but no joy. I looked at the emails and found that the messages I think of as SPAM (e.g., male enhancement ads) all seem to have one of two entries in their headers:
X-cff-SpamScore: 0(/)
X-cff-SpamReport: ----- ----- error: scanning failed basic_ios::clear
or
X-cff-SpamScore: 0(/)
X-cff-SpamReport: -- -- Message is unknown to the spam scanner.
Any thoughts?
