POP3 Proxy - Prefetch, when will you finally fix it?? Duplication of Mails

This is the 4th time in a row in a month, where my whole mailbox is getting duplicated. Not that I don't like getting e-mails and socialize....

I just log into my computer one evening, fire up Outlook 2007 and what I am lucky: You have received 2000 ! Emails....downloading... don't have to tell the rest of the story, right?

Any help is appreciated (but not the standard: Prefetch Proxy is buggy, don't use it! answer) I'm just sick of cleansing my e-mail box every 2nd week and loosing hours. Furthermore, the whole Firewall report gets messed up as well and shows wrong figures because of this. Will you be able to fix that in the next up2date or at least provide some info on how to avoid this?

Setting:
ASL 7.104, Prefetch enabled 300sec interval, Outlook Timeout 2mins 30secs

    Hi,
    my experience with the prefetch went like yours when it was first released. There is at least one bug I have identified but has not been acknowledged and that concerns webmail.

    Anyway back to the task at hand. I have my prefetch set at 500 sec and my outlook set at 10 minutes. I have 3 pop3 accounts for me and 1 for my wife working successfully through prefetch on 2 different PCs. Occasionally I use my e-mail on my laptop and that works fine as well.

    Where you are running into trouble is for most of the time your settings are fine, but if you get a number of e-mails that contain large attachments and take too long to download you run into the the next time schedule. Because the ISPs server has not been told that the message has been downloaded by the ASG, it resends it.

    I found that by lengthening my times I overcame most of the issues. Where a lot of people who are having trouble with prefetch is that they are too impatient and need to have their e-mail instantaneously.
    Most people forget that e-mail by design is not a fast system.

    I will try this setting... unfortunately if outlook crashes or you get back your notebook from a hibernation/sleep mode, this "running into another window" can happen as well.

    Just when you said that people are impatient I recognized that it starts to happen in a majority of cases after taking the notebook back from sleepmode and not closing outlook.

    I'd really wish ASG can handle such situations and they will provide a fix

    changed the settings... we'll see. But can you tell me why the hell it gets every send&receive cycle the whole lot of 2000 messages from ASG? Do I have to rebuild the whole mailfile now from scratch?

    it's like a deadlock, everytime outlook gets new mails I receive 2000 copies of what I already got in Outlook. So my e-mail is completely messed up... I am even to tired to get angry about it...it's just hopeless. Can I somehow tell ASG to stop that crap?

    I set the send&receive cycle in outlook to 30mins, the timeout to 10 and ASG prefetch to 500sec.

    Help is appreciated.
