exim -bpc

Hello,
how can I get a counter of emails (incoming) that are waiting in the Astaro 7.104 SMTP Proxy?
"exim -bpc" should return a counter, but in an ssh
session on the ASL it is missing the /etc/exim.conf.

I have the problem that some emails are delivered after hours and I would like to control this with Nagios.

I'm already controlling with "check_smtp" (via check_by_ssh from outside my network) the response of the ASL, it is not bad (controlled every 5 minutes, with a graph that shows response times). ASL is running now on an HP Proliant DL380 G4 with 3GB RAM and two Xeon processors.
But it seems that the ASL holds the emails soo long.

Hello,

after su a
chroot /var/storage/chroot-cffd/var/chroot-smtp /bin/exim -bpc
shows me 56615 at the moment.
Does that mean that 56615 emails waiting for transport to my MS Exchange server ???

ASL 7.2 beta still uses exim, as I saw after installation @ home.

Hello,
/var/mdw/scripts/smtp status

shows "pending" mails. I'm not sure if it only shows outgoing or both, in- and outgoing. And you only get a list, not a counter.

Hello,

I disabled the SMTP Proxy on ASL 7.1.
The Spam and Virus control is now job
for a Watchguard FW...
