Hello! We have some mail troubles here in the company today. There were no mails from outside in our mailboxes this morning. The Exchange server´s logs were ok, so was the event viewer. The problem was the Astaro gateway. In the executive report I could see that the CPU load was increasing rapidly over the last 24 hours. I guess that´s why much of the HTTP traffic was blocked as well (some clients saw a log-in screen from the gateway when they tried to reach a website).
I restarted the gateway and cleared the HTTP cache. Now mails go in again, but no older mails from last night. Where could they be? Are they lost forever or still hanging somewhere? Were they stored in the HTTP cache? What about an HA switch? Our gateway is running on an appliance, we have two gateways, the other one is in cold standby mode. Is it possible that the mails are on the other machine right now and the second one can´t see them until the next switch-over?
I´m still new to Astaro so forgive me if I mix up some things here :-) Thanks for any quick help!
