    To follow onto what John has just said, the notice is coming from external SMTP servers. Normal emails seem to go through without a hitch, but meeting requests and replies to certain domains seem to be causing problems on the other end.

    We are still waiting to see a munged message, but for the domains in question (almost half a dozen, so far - and only since the v6 to v7 upgrade), it appears to be consistent.

    We have turned off virus scanning temporarily, but no effect.

    Currently running v7.101, and Novell GroupWise for groupware on the back end.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, as we are getting beaten up by staff...

    Resolved:

    Turned off outgoing spam scanning (I thought we had this off before, but missed it on the Advanced tab).

    This should really be addressed, though I'm not sure what the scanner is doing to the message which makes Exchange choke on it (though the only messages getting hung appear to be going to Exchange).
