Hello Folks!
I am doing the following:
POP3 prefetching enabled and working (so far...). Spam and virus-scanning enabled.
Our mailhost scans for spam as well and tags spams with [SPAM?] as a prefix to the subject.
I added [SPAM?] as an expression to the expressions list in spam-filter properties.
The idea is that our ASG can just skips checking those mails as they already match a (very easy to filter) expression in the subject.
Still in quarantine-manager all those spams with the modified subject are listed as blocked due to spam rather than expression matching.
My conclusion is that the expression matching is performed AFTER the spam checking itself. Well, this doesn't make too much sense as far as I am concerned...
We are dealing with thousands of spam-emails every day and could very well use the performance that could be saved if our astaro gateway just skipped scanning all those spams already tagged by our mailhost.
Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanx in advance,
DiePlage
