It seems the POP3 proxy has issues receiving large emails.
I have noticed this since version 7.011 on my office ASG 120.
The log file would show something like
2007:11:15-15:23:14 (none) pop3proxy[6380]: id="111O" severity="info" sys="SecureMail" sub="pop3" name="email delivered" srcip="127.0.0.1" from="fake-recipient@xcom.com" dstip="10.1.1.25" to="sonnia@acme2u.com" subject="FW: RELAX....!" size="4094124" encrypted="0"
2007:11:15-15:23:15 (none) pop3proxy[6380]: id="1116" severity="error" sys="SecureMail" sub="pop3" name="IO error" message="basic_ios::clear" srcip="10.1.1.25" action="closing connection to server and client because of an IO error. (perhaps timeout)"
Whenever this happens, everyone else would not be able to retrieve their emails until the POP3 proxy is disabled and re-enabled.
My office only has 7 users at the most at any given time.
I have also disabled the Antivirus scanning.
Increasing the timeout on our clients does not help and problem persists.
I have even upgraded to 7.080 and the problem still persists.
It seems the POP3 proxy's value as an anti-spam and antivirus gateway is seriously diminished.
