SMTP Proxy as Spam/Antivirus service

Is anyone using the SMTP Proxy as a hosted Spam/Antivirus solution? For example having the mail for client A come to the proxy first before redirecting it back outside the firewall to the clients site. (The client site does not have a firewall antivirus solution)

    In the good 'ol days I used to use Astaro v5 on a low end PC to fulfil that role (probably a virtual machine would make sense these days). One interface and all Astaro did was accept email, scan it and then pass it onto a Cobalt Qube on the same network segment.

    With Astaro 7 you still have to define the terminating or next hop MTA in the SMTP proxy and it doesn't have to be "behind" the firewall per-se. Obviously you will need to set your MX in your DNS correctly.
