Prefetch Password Cache

If I change a password for an account on my offsite email server POP3 stops working. If I add the host to the transparent mode skiplist I get POP3 fine.

Seems to be a cache issue with the prefetch. Anybody know how to delete the cached passwords?

I restarted the Astaro to no avail

Ver 7.009

    Thanks for the input. The support tech is still stumped as why I cannot change passwords. 

     I will give it a try since Astaro has no solution. My current support rep actually said I cannot change my passwords and they don't have a fix.

    I was hoping 7.010 would fix this but it doesn't.

    Therefore I asked our Email Security Team to check this issue and update you on this.

    Can you please send me a Personal Message and tell with who you talked at Astaro. I want to improve our support quality.

    hey gert how about the prefetch bugs that are being increasingly reported with errors and not receiving e-mails?

    I managed to figure out how to clear the cache, but I don't know if it would void the support contracts.  I wouldn't think it would because this information is just stored in a database on our servers and any data on my server should be considered mine correct?

    did you log into the astaro console?  If so then the warranty is toast.  If you changed the passwords on your mailservers then your warranty is fine.

    did you log into the astaro console?  If so then the warranty is toast.  If you changed the passwords on your mailservers then your warranty is fine.


    Don't really matter to me.  I can't get them to call me back even when I want to spend money anyhow.  Plus I was getting ready to upgrade the box it is sitting on anyway.  I haven't been able to get mail since I upgraded to 7.0.11.  this just hastens my need to upgrade that box.

    turn prefetch off..your mail will come through then.

    Problem is the box is so underpowered that it takes for ever to come through with the amount of spam my email address gets.
