My Astaro 7 is configured to make backups every day, and mail them to an internal mail server.
For some obscure reason, that backup could not be sent this night.
What the firewall did, was sending an email to do-not-reply@fw-notify.net, stating that delivery failed, with a part of the message enclosed.
There's 2 few things I don't understand / am frustrated about:
1. why can't we configure the mail domain receiving these messages?
2. sending a firewall backup over the internet - even a part of it, even encrypted, is just NOT DONE. fw-notify.net, even when being a part of the Astaro organisation, has no business with the contents of my backups, and this mail could be intercepted just about anywhere in between.
Luckily, I configured fw-notify.net to be an internal mail server, that's why I saw this message in my inbox this morning. Using tricks like this should not be necessary.
