E-Mail Encryption

Hi there,

i just installed V7 yesterday and I am mostly satisfied with it but I don't get it with that email encryption. Is it only possible when using the smtp proxy or how should i set it up when using it like:


LAN -|ASG7| - [Internet]         --->    [My mailserver on a root hardware]

My LAN is already able to collect the mails from the external mailserver (even pop3 prefetch works well) but how to get the encryption working???

    Hi,

    I'm no expert on this, but ...

    I use encryption on my ASG with SMTP proxy enabled. 

    I think you need to enable the proxy to accept the emails from both the internet and your local mail server.  The ASG will then (or should) perform any encryption and decryption on the emails inboud and outbound where it has the ability to do so.

    So..

    Lan->Internal Mailserver->ASG->Internet
